PhotoReading - an Instructors blog

Posted in: Uncategorized |

When I learned PhotoReading I hoped for nothing more than to be able to get my reading done faster. It promised that a beginner could finish book in 1/3rd the time it takes them to read in the traditional way. I thought cool, that’s for me. I can read 3 books in the time I was reading one. This way I might find answers.

One of the biggest frustrations I had with reading a book from cover to cover, was many times when I finished I felt like I had wasted my time and learned nothing significantly new. With PhotoReading I don’t even need to spend more than 20 minutes with a book like that any more.

But wow, I discovered a new way of reading. One that uses my mind. It made me wonder what else the mind can do so I began a journey of self-discovery and learning more about the mind.

My journey included becoming the First PhotoReading Instructor for Australia in February 2004.

I’ve learned some interesting stuff since then. I thought I would share them with others. As well as articles and thoughts. I plan to write some PhotoReading tips and point to mind research that explains why the advised techniques in the PhotoReading course work.

I don’t know how often I will update this site, I hope at least once a week. I do plan to make it accessible to RSS feeds. I’ll probably write a brief post about using this new technology. I don’t have to have my email cluttered with irrelevant promotional’s that have made it difficult for me to keep track of communication base emails. It’s a technology I think others will embrace and it’s easier to learn to use than your average email client.
