The right Brainwaves for PhotoReading

Posted in: Uncategorized |

What worries people when they first learning to PhotoRead is the association with of brainwave patterns. Triggering the right brainwave happens naturally when you follow the steps.

If ever you experience a moment where you need more calm and clarity just close your eyes for a few seconds (not while driving of course!). To trigger more Alpha simply close your eyes. As soon as you close your eyes your brain starts triggering more Alpha. Research has shown that Beta is linked with hard focus. Your everyday focus in the world is hard focus and by closing your eyes you withdraw from hard focusing and as a result you’re triggering more Alpha. Now it becomes easier to slow your mind down even more.

All brainwave frequencies are always present. Like hitting the keys on a piano the most recently hit note is the strongest and the previous note start to quiet down and like playing a piano each brainwave will have spikes. So when when we talk about having Alpha brainwave we are talking about a dominant brainwave, not the only brainwave present. It’s the interplay of the other brainwaves that makes it difficult create entrainment that will trigger the right state.

After closing your eyes you can focus on physical relaxation. The fastest method is when you progressively tense and release your muscles progressively. . After a while you just need to have the intent to relax and your mind goes there in moments. In the book The Chemistry of Conscious States. How the Brain Changes it’s Mind - Dr. J Allen Hobson MD 1994 writes “our brain-minds do not merely react - they anticipate..” In other words, your mind guesses at, responds to your intent. So getting into the right “state” for each step of PhotoReading is easiest by just doing the steps.

You don’t need to know the brainwave state for each stage of PhotoReading. Paul Scheele has outlined the method that gets you into the ideal state each time and all you do need to do is go easy on yourself, take the playful approach and just follow the steps. Each time you use it get even easier. In the words of Pete Bissonette, ‘ just get into photofocus and start flipping the pages, within 12 pages you are in the ideal state’.

What pulls one out of being in the ideal state, is worrying about whether we are there or no. Relax, it’s part of learning, like riding a bike without training wheels you do get better at it each time you hop on. Follow the steps yes, it is just that simple.

During the PhotoReading step there is little to no Alpha present.
