The Importance of Notes for Review and Recall
One thing that concerns most people when studying for an exam or course is remembering what they learned from their reading.
One of the better methods is Mind Mapping but this is difficult for many people to move into with ease. And along with learning the PhotoReading system they try to change everything about their approach to studying. I ask why change what is working. Any new technique that you start to use should be brought into you already well established system of studying. Or at the very least what you already knows works for you when you go about learning and reading.
Sometimes to use a system like PhotoReading with Mind Mapping you need to bring it in stages. To get to a point where you feel confident and comfortable with your skills in using these systems.
I’ve often discussed methods for this with people who contact me for coaching or more information about PhotoReading. We work out an approach so they can bring in PhotoReading and Mind Mapping without risking a drop in their grades while they change over or modify their approach to studying. I wrote a 5 page article about different methods of note making and how to use your notes for review and recall.
